Busak + Shamban unit moves to new Mass. factory
Fort Wayne, Indiana -- Busak + Shamban has moved its Hudson, Massachusetts, facility to a new, larger 29,000-sq.-ft (2700 sq. m.). plant in Northboro, Massachusetts.
The new factory is 20-percent larger than its predecessor and allows for the option of future expansion of 25,000 square feet, the company said. The investment wasn't disclosed.
The Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business unit employs 126 at the operation, making precision seals. The Massachusetts business formerly was Chase-Walton Elastomers Inc. until Busak + Shamban bought it in October 2005 to expand its portfolio of products to sell to the aerospace, medical technology and biotech industries.
"The move to a larger facility coupled with Trelleborg´s increased manufacturing capabilities in the United Kingdom and Asia make us the leading global partner for any customers' sealing needs," said Christen Holmberg, director of the firm's Airframe Product unit.
