Michelin to increase winter tyre prices in Japanese market
Paris - Nihon Michelin Tire Co., Ltd. is to raise the delivery price of winter tyres for sale in the Japanese market.
Michelin said productivity improvements and cost reduction efforts alone are not enough to keep absorbing increases in raw material costs. The company is therefore obliged to reflect a part of this cost hike in its delivery price. The increases will be:
Passenger car/ light truck winter tyres: Average 5.5% Effective from April 2nd, 2007
Truck & bus winter tires: Average 8.0% Effective from April 2nd, 2007
