Hankook aims for €2800m sales, €260m profits in 2007
Seoul, Korea - Hankook Tire announced its global sales target for 2007 up to $3608 million (€2772 million). The company also aim for an operating profit of $340 million (€262 million) and the recurring profit of $282 million (€217 million).
The company said it expects its new plant in Hungary wil contribute to this total, as the plant will come on stream in the middle of 2007. The company expects its Korean sales to rise by 13.8 percent, to $2500 million. In 2006, Korean operations sales grew approximately 10.36percent from 2005 to 2.2 billion USD, while operating profit decreased 18.9 percent to $183 million. Preliminary figures put the recurring profit at $237 million, down 14.25 percent, and net profit at $175 million, down 16.3 percent.
