Union City, Tennessee - A worker at Goodyear's tyre plant in Union City died on 4 Feb. from injuries sustained the night before in an industrial accident at the factory.
Goodyear said in a statement that it is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident and is fully cooperating with the investigation of the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
"Our thoughts and concerns are with the associate's family at this very difficult time," said Plant Manager Todd Turner. "As a plant team, we are deeply saddened."
The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration named the dead man as Jason Conley.
