Hankook to build 5m u/year car tyre factory in Korea -- reports
Seoul, Korea - Hankook Tire has reportedly filed documents with the local regulatory authorities, indicating it will build a new car tyre factory in Korea.
Details are sketchy, and no-one from Hankook was available to answer questions, but the company appears to have said the new plant will make 5 million car tyres / year. It will be located at Geumsan / Kumsan, 198 kilometers south of Seoul, where the company has an existing plant. The investment is reportedly KrWon 235 000 million (€190 million).
