Firestone Industrial Products opens sales office in India

Inianapolis, Indiana - Air springs specialist Firestone Industrial Products Co. LLC has opened a sales office in Gurgaon, India, to provide prompt sales and technical support to customers in the region, the company announced.

Arun Kumar, director, Asia Businesses for Firestone, said the company recognises a significant growth opportunity in India. He said the new office will allow Firestone to participate in the massive infrastructure expansion and development of the air suspension market throughout India.

Firestone, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Firestone Diversified Products LLC, has 15 years of experience selling air springs in India through a Kolkatta-based distributor. The company received permission in July 2006 from the Reserve Bank of India to open the office, located in Gurgaon, a suburb of New Delhi.

Two Firestone engineers will operate from the location to focus specifically on the emerging Indian market.
