UK conglomerate to buy former Goodyear subsidiary, Engineered Fabrics
White Plains, New York - Engineered Fabrics Corp., the former Goodyear Aerospace subsidiary is to change hands. The company makes rubber/polymer-coated fabrics for fuel tank bladders. It is a major defence-industry supplier with annual sale of around $65 million.
The company's parent, K&F Industries Holdings, Inc. is to be acquired by Meggitt-USA, Inc, a 100 percent subsidiary of UK conglomerate, Meggitt PLC
K&F Industries Holdings, Inc. manufactures braking equipment for commercial transport, general aviation and military aircraft through its Aircraft Braking Systems Corp. subsidiary. K&F operates Engineered Fabrics Corp., a leading producer of aircraft fuel tanks, de-icing equipment and speciality coated fabrics used for storage, shipping, environmental and rescue applications for the commercial and military markets.
