UK 'Smarter Driving' campaign puts tyre pressure as top tip
London - The UK government, through its Department for Transport has launched a "Smarter Driving" campaign with the aim of persuading motorists to reduce their CO2 emissions.
The site (see link below) includes a series of tips to improve fuel economy. Top of all the recommendations is to maintain the correct pressure in the vehicle's tyres. Other tips include reducing unnecessary weight, keeping to an appropriate speed, trying to drive in a way to minimie the stop-start cycle.
The site also includes an energy savings calculator and a game, called the emission mission.
