Shanghai Tyre among top Trademark applicants

Geneva, Switzerland - Shanghai Tyre & Rubber Co. is among the list of companies who most frequently sought Trademark protection for their intellectual property under the Madrid system coordinated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Overall, there were more applications from China than anywhere else, but more applications coame from companies based in Germany than anywhere else. The changing pattern of applications, said WIPO, reflects the increasing internationalisation of business.
