Russian Parliament sets up tyre strategy committee
Moscow - Russia is to hold the first meeting of its newly-formed "subcommittee on the development of the tyre sector" on 6 April. The chairman of the committee is I. Karavaev, who is also deputy director general of Sibur Russian Tyres.
The aim of the committee, associated with the Russian Parliament, the Duma - is to liaise with legislators in order to achieve, "equal competitive opportunities for tyre makers in the Russian automotive market".
