Lanxess lifts NBR, CR prices by another €300 / tonne
Leverkusen, Germany - Lanxess' technical rubber products (TRP) business unit is to increase its prices worldwide for chloroprene rubber (CR) marketed under the proprietary name Baypren by an average of EUR 0.30 per kg. In the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) prices will also increase for the nitrile rubbers (NBR) Krynac and Perbunan by US$ 0.25 per kg (EUR 0.19 per kg) owing to sustained cost pressure, said the company.
The company last lifted prices at the start of January when it imposed price increases of up to €400/tonne on some grades of nitrile (NBR) rubber, with lesser increases on chloroprene rubber (CR), ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) and styrene-butadiene rubber (E-SBR).
