Circuit du Castellet, France - Michelin has announced a new award for the the 2007 Le Mans 24 Hours and the six rounds of the 2007 Le Mans Series. Named the 'Michelin Energy Endurance Challenge', it aims to reward teams that make the best use of the fuel they consume, expressed as an Energy Performance Index (EPI) calculated after each event.
Michelin Energy Endurance Challenge results will be published the evening after each race and prizes will be awarded to the teams at the next event on the calendar.
