Sinopec made 668 kt of rubber in 2006
Beijing -Â Sinopec, the Chinese chemical concern, made 668 kt of synthetic rubber in 2006, up from 626 kt in 2005 and 561 kt in 2004. The company noted in its annual results statement that it has added 100 kt of capacity for styrene-butadiene rubber in the last year.
The company said domestic demand for rubber and other materials grew by 7.8 percent in 2006, compared with the previous year
In terms of sales, Sinopec said it saw sales prices increase to an average RMB 13,928/tonne (€1350) up from RMB 13 040 the previous year. overall volumes were upto 800 kt, from 678 kt the previous year.
