Akron, Ohio - Goodyear's board has named Alan McCollough, former chairman and CEO of Circuit City Stores Inc., as its 12th director.
McCollough, who headed the consumer electronics retailer from 2002 to 2006, joins 11 other directors who were re-elected to one-year terms on 10 April during the Akron-based tyre maker´s annual shareholders meeting.
Goodyear Chairman and CEO Robert Keegan said McCollough's retail experience and marketing knowledge will be of significant value to the board of directors.
Gary Forsee, a director since 2002, did not seek re-election.
