T&E says EU tyre proposal may be in by September
Brussels - The European Federation for Transport and Environment (T&E) says it has been told that the EU may issue a combined proposal on tyre legislation by September.
T&E says this directive is likely to limit noise, impose requirements for rolling resistance, tyre pressure monitoring systems, and safety aspects such as wet grip and aquaplaning performance.
The non-governmental organisation has also built a simulation tool, where visitors to the website can hear the difference between loud and quiet tyres. (see link below)
