EU holds meeting on machinery safety directive
Brussels - On 29 May 2007, the EU's DG Enterprise and Industry is organising a one-day workshop on the revised Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This event will be held in the Charlemagne Building in Brussels.
The main aims of the Workshop are explain the changes introduced by the revised Machinery Directive, and to present the initiatives taken by the European Commission and others to manage the transition from the current Machinery Directive 98/37/EC to the new Directive 2006/42/EC.
There is no charge to delegates, but people must register ahead of time, in any case by 16 May, 2007. Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The website (see below) has downloads of the programme and an invitation to delegates. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish.
