Stephenson Group wins award for international enterprise
Leeds, UK - Stephenson Group Ltd has won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International category. The management and staff of Stephenson Group Ltd will be formally conferred the award by a Grant of Appointment from Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant in July.
Stephenson Group is the parent of Stephenson Speciality Chemicals, a supplier of anti-tack agents to the rubber industry. Stephenson said the Speciality Chemicals division, "has contributed greatly to this growth supplying major groups throughout Europe and increasing its business in countries such as Germany, Finland, Luxemburg and more recently Russia. While further afield the division has recently taken part in the Shanghai Rubber Exhibition and is focusing on future development of the Indian and Brazilian markets."
This is the second time The Stephenson Group will receive the Queen's Award for International Trade following its first award in 2000. The Group expects to report turnover of over £18 million in 2007 and it is a subsidiary of Thos. Bentley & Son who have been in production for five generations.
