Koemm to leave Lanxess board early
Leverkusen, Germany -Â Dr. Ulrich Koemm (pictured, left) is to leave Lanxess AG and step down from the management board, effective 31 May. His duties will be taken over by Dr. Werner Breuers (right), who takes up his duties as a member of the management board as planned on May 14, 2007.
Born in Mönchengladbach, Breuers comes from the Basell group, where he was most recently President of Basell Polyolefins Europe, headquartered in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam.
Supervisory board chairman Dr. Rolf Stomberg commented, “The Supervisory Board and Management Board of LANXESS AG would like to thank Dr. Koemm for his enormous contribution to the company's success, and especially for his work to strengthen the businesses for which he was responsible.“
