Poole, UK -Â Poole-based custom rubber moulding specialist, DP Seals, has added ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 approvals to its ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. These approvals comprise the cornerstones of the company's integrated quality, environmental and health and safety policy procedure.
DP Seals said its custom-built presses generate high pressures and temperatures, creating potential health and safety issues. However, the attention to machinery guards, computerised fail-safe machine interlocks and extensive staff training underpinning DP Seals¹ enviable safety record has enabled the company to gain OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Policy Approval also at its first attempt.
