Tenneco opens R&D centre in China
Shanghai, China - Tenneco Inc. opened its first R&D centre in China as part of a joint venture with Shanghai Tractor and Engine Co.
The centre will focus on emission control product design and development, including acoustic tuning; noise, vibration and harshness/structural analysis; durability testing; engine vibration; and diesel aftertreatment design.
The 19,000-sq.-ft. (1800 sq. metres) facility is next to Tenneco´s joint venture emission control plant. The firm plans to construct additional test labs by 2010.
