Sartomer plans Japanese tech centre
Exton, Pennsylvania -Â Global speciality chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company
intends to open a new 356-square-metre technical centre and office space in Yokohama, Japan, in December 2007. The facility will house Sartomer Japan, which opened in 2005 and is part of the Asian operations of the company.
The office will serve formulators and chemists throughout Japan, providing technical and
sales support for Sartomer's entire line of speciality chemicals, which includes polybutadiene resins.
However, the primary role of the facility will be to house a research lab for developing new photocure materials for the electronics, plastics, optical media, and flat-panel display industries in Japan and Asia. The remaining space will be dedicated to meeting rooms and storage, said the company.
