Ansell to de-list from US stock exchanges
Red Bank, New Jersey -Â Ansell Ltd is to de-register from all US stock exchanges and relieve itself of the obligation to file official financial reports in the US. Ansell's obligations and commitments in its home country of Australia will not be affected by the move.
Ansell said in a statement, "This voluntary action has been taken due to the high cost of maintaining the registration of ordinary shares in the US. Trading in the United States accounts for less than 1 percent of the total volume of Ansell shares traded worldwide. "
The company continued, "Ansell will post on its website all information that [it] has made or is required to make public under Australian law, or has filed or is required to file with the ASX, or has distributed or is required to distribute to shareholders, in each case promptly after such information is required to be made public."
