Gates plant wins awards for innovation, quality
London - For the sixth time in eight years, and the third year in a row, Gates Moncks Corner rubber synchronous plant has been awarded the American Honda Motor Company Supplier Performance Award.
In March, Plant Manager Wayne Fletcher accepted the award on behalf of Gates at the annual Honda Supplier Performance Award ceremonies in Toronto, Canada. The Gates team was recognised for Outstanding Performance in Support of Service Parts for 2006.
The announcement comes a few weeks after Gates Power Transmission division was awarded the Brammer Innovation Award. The award was presented at the Brammer Awards and Wishes Evening which took place in London's Science Museum on 25 April, 2007. Gates received the award in recognition of its innovative belt drive solutions resulting in cost savings and productivity improvements.
