Hexagon plans to list compounding business on Nordic Exchange
Stockholm, Sweden - Hexagon AB is to ask shareholders to approve a separate listing of the business area Hexagon Polymers on The Nordic Exchange. The listing is planned for the first half of 2008. Hexagon Polymers comprises Herxagon's rubber compounding activity bringing together Thona, GFD, and others. It is by far the biggest specialist rubber compounding company in Europe.
“Polymers has achieved a size and profitability that makes the business attractive on its own merits. A separate listing will enable Polymers to continue to grow aggressively through new establishments and acquisitions,†says Ola Rollén, newly-appointed CEO and President of Hexagon AB.
Haxagon polymers operates eight compounding facilities around the world, and is currently building two more: one in Mexico and one in China. The company reported sales of over €200 million in 2006.
