Robert J. Himmelright Jr dies in Florida
Delray Beach, Florida -Â Robert J. Himmelright Jr former president of Monarch Rubber has died, aged 81.
Himmelright was the son of the late Robert and Katherine Himmelright, born on 29 March, 1926 in Canton, Ohio. He died last Friday, 29 June, in Delray Beach, Florida. The cremation has already taken place.
His father founded Monarch Rubber, and in 1963, Himmelwright took over as president and chief executive. Six years later, the family sold the business to Teledyne, but Himmelright stayed on as chairman and president until 1984, when he took retirement and travelled the world.
During his retirement he mixed with the rich and famous, entertaining presidents and future presidents, keeping friendships with movie stars, TV personalities and entertainers.
