Parker division gets new name
Lynchburg, Virginia -Â Parker-Hannifin Corp. is changing its Powertrain Division name to Integrated Sealing Systems Division.
The name change illustrates the company´s ability to meet the requirements of diverse markets, according to Jason Brown, general manager for the unit. It also will help customers avoid the confusion of seeing the Powertrain name and assuming the company only provides engine and transmission seals, he added.
The Lynchburg, Virginia-based division specialises in innovative polymeric sealing systems, overmoulded technology and the integration of multiple components into unitised assemblies. It has a long history of providing sealing systems that speed assembly, reduce inventory and improve system performance for the transportation industry and is now taking that expertise into other markets, the company said.
