Exousia Receives order for cargo boxes made from RPA
Sugar Land, Texas -- Exousia Advanced Materials Inc. had announced that it has received a purchase order from American Cargo Products, a 25 year-old manufacturer of truck bodies.
The truck bodies will be built using panels manufactured from Exousia's RPA material - a patented, proprietary rubber-plastic alloy, according to the company's 2 August statement.
"We have always endeavoured to give our clients a better box,†said Barney Simon, president of American Cargo Products, in the statement. “By incorporating Exousia's RPA material we believe we can deliver a better box, with weight reductions, leading to increased cargo capacity. In addition, this new material lends itself to flexibility in manufacturing that will allow us to couple it with another technological advance that should significantly enhance fuel economy," he added.
Wayne Rodrigue, ceo of Exousia, said, "The dry box segment alone for the trucking industry exceeds $40 million (€29.2 million) annually and we are confident that we can capture a fair share of this market.â€
Goshen, Indiana-based ACP, currently manufacturers an average of 40 truck bodies per month, ranging in size from 8 to 28 feet. The truck bodies are built on Chevy, Ford and GMC chassis and sold as completed cargo trucks.
