DuPont to raise Viton prices 10 percent
Wilmington, Delaware-- DuPont Performance Elastomers said it will raise prices on Viton fluoroelastomers and chemicals by 10 percent on July 15.
Raw materials, energy and distribution cost increases prompted the price change. Past efforts to improve manufacturing efficiencies offset higher material costs, but such action isn't enough to absorb the rising costs, the company said.
