Bridgestone's Poznan and Béthune plants win Ford Q1 Award

Poznan, Poland - Bridgestone's manufacturing plant in Poznan, Poland has received the prestigious Ford Q1 Award for “the outstanding and consistent quality of its tyres,†the company announced 11 September.
The plant has produced over 3 million tyres for Ford since opening in 2000, including Turanza ER300 touring tyres and run-flat Turanza tyres.
The Ford Q1 European Quality and Procurement Divisions Q1 certification of “preferred quality status†was received by Masayuki Sorioka, managing director and president, of Bridgestone Poznan on the 27 August.
The Bridgestone Béthune, France, manufacturing plant also received the Ford Q1 Award in March this year for the quality of tyres and service provided.
“We are proud to receive Q1 certification in recognition of the quality and consistency of our tyres and service,†said Sorioka.
