Trelleborg's O-ring plant moves to 4-day week in Malta

Malta -- Trelleborg's Sealing Systems unit has announced that all employees at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Malta Ltd will be working on a four day week until further notice.
In a statement issued to local press and to ERJ, the company said the move is based on reduced order books following the current global situation within the automotive industry and the reduction in consumer confidence
Trelleborg employs about 600 at its plant in Malta, making O-rings and other seals mainly aimed at the car industry. No employees have lost their jobs.
