Goodyear names global talent management director
AKRON (Dec. 1, 2008) - Goodyear has named Sherry Nolan director of global talent management, development and diversity, effective Dec. 8.
Ms. Nolan, 40, will report directly to Joe Ruocco, senior vice president of human resources (HR), and will be based at the company's Akron headquarters. In her new role, she will develop and lead the company's business-wide initiatives and programs for executive and associate recruitment and retention, performance management, talent development and succession planning, Goodyear said, as well as its diversity efforts on a global basis.
“Sherry has a proven track record of effectively partnering with operational and functional leaders to impact the business agenda,†Mr. Ruocco said. “Plus her experience in developing and driving talent management and diversity initiatives well equips her to enhance Goodyear's leadership pipeline and development.â€
Ms. Nolan's background includes nearly 20 years of business-related and broad-based HR experience. She spent the past eight years in various HR leadership positions with the Pepsi Bottling Group in Somers, N.Y., where most recently she was responsible for worldwide diversity and organizational capability.
In that role, Ms. Nolan led Pepsi Bottling's global talent management, leadership development and diversity/inclusion initiatives, according to Goodyear.
