Goodyear makes finance appointments
ERJ staff report (TB)
Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear has announced several leadership changes in its HQ-based corporate finance operations, including appointing Damon Audia, formerly vice president and treasurer, as senior vice president of finance and treasurer.
His expanded role includes Goodyear's investor relations and tax functions.
Goodyear also named Richard Noechel, previously vice president and corporate controller, as vice president of finance for the company's North American Tire business, replacing Marc Voorhees, who has been named chief operating officer of North American Tire's consumer tire business.
Thomas Connell, vice president and chief information officer, will succeed Mr. Noechel as vice president and controller, while retaining his current leadership role in information technology.
“Damon has been a key member of Goodyear´s finance organisation over the past four years, and he was particularly instrumental in the execution of the plans to refinance the company over the last several years,†said Executive Vice President and CFO Darren Wells. “He has demonstrated the type of leadership we need in this role as we address the challenges of today's economy.â€
Audia joined Goodyear as assistant treasurer, capital markets in 2004 from Delphi Corp., where he served in a variety of treasury and financial roles.
Prior to becoming vice president and controller, Mr. Noechel served as chief financial officer of Goodyear's South Pacific Tyre subsidiary in Australia since 2006. He began his career with Goodyear in 2004, serving as assistant controller at the company's Akron headquarters.
Mr. Connell was tapped as chief information officer last February after serving as vice president and controller since 2003. He previously worked 24 years in financial management positions with TRW Inc.
Mr. Voorhees served as vice president of finance for the past three years after a 28-year career with Eastman Kodak Co. where he held various operational, financial and international positions.
