Michelin delays Challenge Bibendum by a year

Paris -- Michelin has delayed its annual environmental event, Challenge Bibendum by at least a year. The event was due to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 25 -29Â April 2009, but has now been delayed until 2010, said Michelin. The company blamed the depth of the current economic crisis.
In a statement on the event website Michelin said many of its traditional partners, "will be unable to participate, to the extent that they have done in the past, in an event which illustrates the existence of solutions to the challenges of tomorrow's road mobility."
