ERJ staff report (DS)
Clermont-Ferrand, France -- Michelin has opened L'Aventure Michelin, a space located in Clermont-Ferrand and dedicated to the Group's history and its current and future developments. The exhibition is initially open to current and former employees of the Michelin Group. From the start of April it opens to the public. Visits are by pre-reserved tickets only. A full-price ticket costs €8, with discounts for employees and concessions.
On January 23, 2009, Michel Rollier, Michelin Group's Managing Partner, inaugurated the space, which is located on the Cataroux industrial site, in the city's north side. It has been housed in a fully-restored industrial workshop.
A 2000 m2 space, organised on two levels, will welcome the visitors looking to learn more about Michelin's history, its current developments and its vision for the future. In a press release, Michelin said, "the visit will highlight the current challenges facing the tire industry and tomorrow's research. "
