Pirelli's Cyber Tyre to be part of corner module partnership

Milan, Italy -- Pirelli Tyre SpA, Brembo SpA and Magneti Marelli SpA have agreed to work together to develop “leading-edge” corner module systems for the world's vehicle makers.

The first project will be integrating Pirelli's “cyber” intelligent tyre with Magneti Marelli's electronic control systems and Brembo's braking systems into an “ad hoc techonology solution,” the partners said in a joint release.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The companies said they hope combining their technologies will them to develop applications with safety and environmental impact.
