Michelin to recall 784 Alpin runflat tyres in US
ERJ staff report (DS)
Washington DC -- Michelin North America has informed the US-based National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that it is recalling 784 runflat tyres in its Pilot Alpin range.
The tyres are marked as PA2 ZP 225/50R17 94H and were made between 17 Sept, 2006 and 14 June 2008. The tyres do not carry a DoT mark and are therefore do not conform to US labelling rules. Apart from the missing sidewall mark, the tyres are unaffected.
The company said it would replace customers' tyres free of charge, including fitting and balancing.
