Trelleborg plans to lay off 102 at Malta seals unit

Malta -- Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Malta has entered into negotiations with workers over an expected 102 job losses at its O-ring seal plant in Malta.

As previously announced, over the past few months the Company has taken various measures to mitigate the situation and had also implemented a four- day week for all its employees which ceased as of 1 January 2009

In a statement, the companysaid it is, "still experiencing a drop in the order-book as a result of the current global economic situation."
