Michelin claims higher share of shrinking UK truck market

Paris -- Michelin UK said it has increased its share of the UK replacement truck tyre business, despite a 10 percent decline in the market in both new tyres and retreads.
Phil Baldock, Michelin Business Advantage Manager at Michelin, made the claims at a dealer conference organised for Michelin's UK MBA members held in Paris.
Established in 2000, the Michelin MBA network comprises more than 200 points of sale spanning the length and breadth of the UK and Republic of Ireland. Baldock added, "the MBA network now services contracts worth in excess of £9 million a year - compared with £2.6 million in 2005,"
