Showa Denko reports lower polychloroprene sales

Tokyo -- Showa Denko KK, the Japanese chemicals maker said sales in its chemicals division increased, but volumes of polychloroprene fell due to reduced demand from the automotive sector in the second half.
The company noted that in September it had increased capacity of CR to 23 000 tonnes/year at its Kawasaki plant from 20 ktonne.
