HF to keep Farrel as a separate brand
Hamburg, Germany -- Following the acquisition earlirt this year of the Farrel Corp. by Possehl group, the parent of Harburg Freudenberger, the two brands will continue to operate in the market as separate entities, according to Dr Andreas Limper, head of the HF operation.
Limper, speaking at the Tire Technology event in Hamburg, said HF and Farrel would continue to compete in the market and continue to operate customer-facing functions with minimal change.
in the mid-term, said Limper, HF is likely to integrate purchasing and service activities among its three key brands -- HF, Pomini and Farrel. Longer term, there will be technology exchanges between the different brands. For the foreseeable future, however, the brands will continue to poperate separately in the market.
