Bridgestone tweaks roles of senior managers

Tokyo, following publication of its results for 2008, Bridgestone Corp has made some minor changes to board-level responsibilities.
- Koki Takahashi will no longer be a director, Internal Control Division. he retains his post as Chief Financial Officer.
- Sugio Fukuoka is being seconded to Bridgestone Sports Co., Ltd where he will become CEO and president. He was previously responsible for Diversified Products, Sports and Cycle Business Administration.
- Mikio Masunaga will join the board of directors and take responsibility for the development of Bridgestone's motorsport product development,
- Kazuo Kakehi also joins the board, and retains his role as responsible for Diversified Products
- Osamu Inoue remains on the board, but switches responsibilities to quality management instead of product development,
A series of other appointments and changes in responsibilities were made.
