Chem-Trend gets new president, CEO
ERJ staff report (TB)
Akron -- Chem-Trend L.P. has named company veteran Devanir Moraes as its new president and CEO, taking over from Mike Quinn, who retired after 28 years of service at the firm.
In addition, Bret Miller was promoted to the post of vice president and general manager for North America, the position formerly held by Moraes.
Chem-Trend said Moraes will bring a global perspective to the company because he has held posts in South America, Asia and the US in all facets of the company over the past 20 years.
"Chem-Trend's philosophy of providing the opportunities for growth within the company has allowed me to refine the skills needed to assume its leadership," Moraes said.
Miller has been with the firm for 19 years, holding positions across all industry segments served by Chem-Trend.
The firm is a manufacturer of release agents and other process chemical specialties for the die casting, general rubber, polyurethane, tyre, thermoplastics and composites industries.
