ERJ staff report (DS)
Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear's top executives did not take performance-related bonuses for the most recent year. The information is revealed in a SEC filing by the company, posted on 27 Feb.
The top officers all took base salary rises of around 3.5 percent, with the exception of Arthur de Bok who took a 13.6 increase, following the expansion of his role to cover eastern Europe as well as western Europe. The executives' base salaries are below the median, according to an agreement with the United Steelworkers' Union (USW)
Goodyear also offers performance-related bonuses to 730 executives. These range from zero to double the base salary, depending on performance. Bob Keegan, Darren Wells, Richard Kramer, Thomas Harvie and de Bok all took a zero bonus in 2008.
