Rhodia names new head of silica unit

Paris -- Rhodia has named Emmanuel Butstraen as President of the Silcea enterprise and member of the Extended General Management Committee. He will also represent the Group in the Rhône-Alpes region of France.
Butstraen is an Agricultural engineer and graduated from the the Institute of Business Administration in Lille (France). He joined the BASF Group in 1992 where he held several sales & marketing positions, before being appointed as General Manager of BASF Agro in Lyon. Since 2005, he has been Group Vice President Global Strategic Marketing of the Plant Protection Division.
