Ohio judge allows Goodyear antitrust case to proceed

Cleveland, Ohio - A Cleveland federal district judge has rejected the motion for dismissal filed by defendants including Bayer AG and Dow Chemical Co. of Goodyear's antitrust suit claiming the companies attempted to fix prices of butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber in Europe.
Goodyear filed the antitrust suit last May, and in November the European Union fined the defendants for anti-competitive behavior, Goodyear said.
