ERJ staff report (RD)
Dubai, UAE - Rubber World Industries (RWI), a major manufacturer of closed-cell rubber insulation 'Gulf-O-Flex', has recorded AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) 32.4 million (Euro 6.8 million) in sales in 2008, the company said 15 March.
The company said that as part of its expansion plans in 2008, it has invested AED 30 million into the construction of a new manufacturing plant in Ajman. The facility will have 14 production lines capable of producing more than 300 different sized products, RWI said, adding that it aims to increase its production capacity to 1800 containers, from the current 1200 containers, by the end of the year.
“Moving forward, we have again raised the bar to a level that will further expand our clout within the regional market,†said Abu Baker Shaikhani, RWI managing director. “By meeting the demand for high quality rubber insulation products both regionally and internationally, we are optimistic that our new goals this year will be met,†he added.
???In addition to increasing our production, we will be reinforcing our investments into the latest technologies to further enhance our products' quality and performance, while capitalising on the considerable reduction in raw material costs to produce higher quality products at lower prices,†concluded Shaikhani.
