Continental wins employer of the year award

Hanover, Germany - Continental AG has been cited for its international university project, “Global Engineering Excellence” (GEE), the company announced 23 March.

The Georgia Institute of Technology has honoured the project with its Work Abroad Employer of the Year Award in Atlanta, US.

“Continental's hard work and dedication to preparing tomorrow's global leaders, by working hand-in-hand with academia, is what makes them a leader in their industry,” said Debbie Gulick, director of the work abroad program at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Continental, a tyre manufacturer, is one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. The company reported sales of Euro 2400 million in 2008.
