Cooper names communications director

Findlay, Ohio - Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Cathy Hissong director of corporate communications.

Ms. Hissong will be responsible for employee communications, including oversight of employee publications and intranet communications, direction of various business projects and management of the company's visual communications centre.

A Findlay native, she joined Cooper in 1986 as a budget analyst and previously worked as a capital equipment buyer, regional credit manager and audit manager before training as a Six Sigma black belt, her most recent position.

Ms. Hissong has a bachelor's degree in management information systems and a master's in business administration from Bowling Green State University.

Pat Brown, former vice president of corporate branding and communications for Cooper, retired earlier this year from the firm after 40 years of service.
