New petrochemical reports on Czech republic and Azerbaijan

UK - Business Monitor International has published a new report titled, Czech Republic Petrochemicals Report Q1 2009 . The 46-page report was first published in March 2009 and is available for a price of around Euro 250 (in electronic format).

The publishers say, “the Czech petrochemical industry will not be immune from the downturn in European petrochemicals demand, but it is one of the best placed to weather the storm, with BMI's latest Czech Republic Petrochemical Report forecasting a quick recovery from stagnation in 2010. According to the latest statistics from the Èeský Statistický Úøad (Czech Statistical Office, CSU), growth in the manufacturing of rubber and plastic products amounted to 2.5 percent in 2008, down from growth of 8.9% in 2007. "

The publishers say, “Azerbaijan's chemical output grew by 35 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) in 2008, while the production of rubber and plastics fell by 5 percent, according to BMI's latest Azerbaijan Petrochemicals Report. Output followed a downward trend in H2, particularly towards the end of the year, in line with the global economic downturn."
