Rubber & Plastics News
Wiltshire, England - Avon Rubber Plc has been awarded a $6.4 million (Euro 4.7 million) contract with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense to produce the S10 in-service respirator over the next three years.
The deal solidifies Avon's position as the sole supplier of the S10 mask to the UK military forces over the last two decades. Product quantities were not disclosed.
The contract has the potential to exceed $14.3 million over the three-year span, according to the company. The masks will continue to be manufactured at the firm's Hampton Park West manufacturing facility in Wiltshire, Avon said.
